On Tuesday, the 9th of April 2019, Mr. Orlando Belfor, Sales Manager and Mr. Frank Schaeffer, Operations Manager from TEHO Ropes Europe had the honour to host a seminar in the light of OCIMF’s new mooring equipment guidelines publication MEG4. In Piraeus, one of the world’s most innovative shipping capitals, TEHO Ropes Europe teamed up with its valued partner Seascape to discuss the implementation and daily practicalities of MEG4 in the presence of some of the leading shipping companies Greece has to offer. “We acknowledge the day to day challenges of our customers to comply with MEG4 and by organizing this seminar, we fulfil the need of the Greek market for a more practical guidance about these new OCIMF guidelines. We are happy to announce that TEHO ROPES & TEHO ENGINEERING have achieved the BizSafe level 4 certification after a thorough assessment of our organisational performance. Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) program helps to improve the safety and health of our workplace and normally most client companies would prefer to engage bizSAFE Enterprises (over non-bizSAFE counterparts) for future contracts.

TEHO International (USA) LLC has earned ISO 9001:2015 certification for its Quality Management System. “Earning ISO 9001:2015 certification was a rigorous and thorough process, requiring the engagement of our entire organization. This achievement represents strong, third-party validation of TEHO International’s commitment to providing the highest quality products and services to our customers across the world,” said Siew Lian Soare, President and CEO of Teho International (USA) LLC. Maintaining certification will require comprehensive audits by the internal management team and validation by Perry-Johnson Registrars, a third-party certifying body to ensure compliance with the standard.  General Manager Robert Renton looks forward to the challenge. “We view the ISO standard as an overlay to our entire management framework, adding quality metrics, and both internal and external oversight of our processes.  Implementation was only possible with the enthusiastic participation of all of our employees, and I am very proud of each of them,” Renton stated.

TEHO Ropes is further expanding its global operations with the set-up of a new subsidiary in Busan, Korea. From our local office and warehouse we are now able to supply our MAGNARO® fibre ropes, rope protectors and other items to all Korean Ports and Ship Yards and to the main Japanese and Chinese Ports. This is another important step in the further internationalisation of our Ropes business, whereby we are now able to reach customers in the world’s most important ports through our offices and warehouses in Singapore, Houston, Rotterdam, Shanghai and Busan and our logistics points in Dubai (UAE), Algeciras (Spain) and Panama.

TEHO Ropes & Supplies Pte. Ltd. first attained the Singapore Quality Class (SQC) in January 2017 and after our most recent  Business Excellence (BE) exercise we have successfully renewed our certification. The Business Excellence Awards recognise organisations for outstanding management capabilities and world-class standards of performance. The BE framework assessment tools helped us to benchmark and improve our performance and formulate a strategic roadmap. BE certifications are a trust mark for an organisation towards its suppliers, customers and the general public and will further boost our competitiveness, not only locally but also overseas.

TEHO’s overseas Ropes subsidiary in USA recently received the Associated Wire Rope Fabricator’s (AWRF) Platinum Safety Award for its outstanding safety record. Platinum is the highest achievable level of recognition for this highly respected award. The AWRF Platinum Safety Award is awarded to companies with a no accident safety record for seven consecutive years.

Las Palmas is a strategic port, as it connects Europe with Africa and the Americas on the Atlantic route. With the opening of a new warehouse in Las Palmas, TEHO Ropes is able to supply MAGNARO FLOAT ropes from stock. We celebrate this new stock point and continue our strategy for worldwide presence, quality products and short delivery times. Our global supply network now encompasses SINGAPORE – ROTTERDAM – HOUSTON – SHANGHAI – BUSAN – DUBAI – ALGECIRAS – PANAMA – LAS PALMAS.
